The summer school will be held at Inria’s headquarters in Rocquencourt, close to Versailles.

This is the site of the Headquarters of Inria.
This site has a lot of history as it used to be the headquarters of the SHAPE of NATO after the 2nd World War. Since 1967, it has been the Headquarters of Inria.
This site also holds an expo of the history of Research in Digital Sciences to which a visit will be scheduled during the summer school.
This site gives us plenty of space for some experiments (autonomous vehicles for instance) and allows us to have some outdoor activities (the forest is close by and we can have outdoor activities in the fields !)
1st time Access from Paris
Rocquencourt is located near Versailles.
You can access it by several train stations and bus lines:
- Vaucresson Train Station (Line L from Paris): you can then take the bus 6276 (in the direction of Noisy le Roy) to Rocquencourt, bus stop Coeur de Bourg (in front of Inria).
- Versailles Rive Droite Train Station (Line L from Paris): Bus 6205 (direction Coeur de Bourg) to the end of the line, bus stop Coeur de Bourg.
- Versailles Chantiers (Line N or RER C from Paris): Bus EX 1 direction Gare de Saint Germain en Laye / Bus 6201 direction Parly 2 / Bus 6202 direction La Celle Saint Cloud => stop at “Parly 2” and then either walk (20 to 25 min) or take bus 6205 (direction Coeur de Bourg to the end of the line), bus stop Coeur de Bourg.
Accommodation
We strongly recommend that you book a hotel in Versailles or Le Chesnay for easy access to Rocquencourt.
There are a couple of hotels that are very close by that we would recommend :
- B&B Rocquencourt (situated less than 5 minutes on foot from Inria)
- B&B Versailles Le Chesnay (situated within Parly 2, a shopping center, 25 minutes on foot from Inria, or 10 minutes by bus no. 6205)
There are also a few hotels in Versailles (maximum 30 minutes by bus) including the following that our guests have used in the past:

The big shopping center Parly 2 is walking distance from Inria and has a cinema, restaurants and shops (even a chocolate shop 😊) and allows you to hang out with people outside of your hotel if you wish to.
